sushi in the U.S.

Yesterday, we met UM students who study Japanese. I spoke with two UM students, Tomoko and Tomoya. We talked about music, sports, college, etc. They said they liked Japan. I was glad to hear that. And we played billiards and bowling. The two boys were very good at billiards! They taught me how to play it. I couldn’t play well, but I had a good time. At 4 p.m. we met the mentors and went to the Kennedy Center for a free concert. We heard the jazz ensemble of the U.S. Naval Academy Band. It was so exciting!! I love drums so much. So I was happy to hear that. Afterwards we went to a sushi bar for dinner. American sushi was so colorful and strange-tasting! It was really fun! There are many interesting foods in the U.S. I’d like to eat more various foods

Yesterday we went to Alexandria and Georgetown. First, we went to Christ Church area in Alexandria. We heard history about this church. Afterward we went to shopping. I bought clip, sticker and ling there. They were very cute and I like them very much! I ate pizza for lunch with Nikki, Kyoko, Ayumi, Tomoko and Misa. We ordered spicy pizza with shrimp, creamy pizza with broccoli and salad. They were very good!! However some girls said spicy one was too hot and drank water very much. After lunch, we went to Waterfront and rode a boat.. I had been looking forward to ride on it. But I became sleepy because of sway of boat and freeze, so I couldn’t see scenery from boat.

Hello. I am Lisa. My major is international politics. I chose this program because I want to have more opportunities to speak English.

I arrived in USA yesterday. It’s my first time to come here. When I arrived at the airport, I was very tired because the seat on the plane was too narrow and I couldn’t sleep well. However at the moment I met mentors, I cheered up!

After that, we looked around in Washington D.C. A row of house along the street was very cute! And I was so excited when I looked WHITE HOUSE!! I am looking forward to visit there in this program.

In the evening, I went to noodle for dinner with Joe. I ate cheese pasta with beef. It was very delicious! I want to eat it again. Afterward we went CVS and I bought water and strange drink which makes us up.

It was a nice day for first day. But I am afraid of making mistakes when I speak English.
I want to speak English more actively.
